Support and advise the Huambo Water Supply and Sanitation Company (EASH) in the water supply infrastructure management. Drawing up a business plan to 3 years and implementation of a financial and accounting computer system. Conducting an inventory of infrastructure and installation of an asset management system to support the operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of infrastructure. The technical assistance included a training program for the EASH staff in the areas of operation and maintenance, administrative and financial management, commercial and customer relationship management.

TA to the Water Supply and Sanitation Systems in the Cities of Benguela, Lobito, Catumbela and Baía Farta
Collection of the requirements to establish the future water supply and sanitation companies in the cities of Benguela, Lobito, Catumbela and Baía Farta, in the juridical and legal, institutional, technical, economic and financial areas. Development of procedures to manage the reception, the transition and guarantee period of the works. Definition of operation and maintenance plans, planning and implemention of training programs to capacitate the human resources of the future companies, including "training on the job".

TA to the NWD - Project Institutional Support for the Development of Water and Sanitation Sectors
The technical assistance involved the following areas: training of human resources in the sector, in order to capacitate professionals to provide adequate service levels to the population's needs; definition and implementation of a monitoring and water quality control system for human consumption; definition of decentralization strategies for water management services in rural areas.

Technical assistance to Angola's National Water Directorate
Quality control, ensure the appropriate degree of detail and compatibility between the different areas of expertise for water supply and sanitation projects carried out by third parties to the Angola's National Water Directorate (DNA), in order to ensure a sound execution of the works and a compliance with deadlines, budget, quality and safety. The technical assistance included a period to support the supervision of the works.

Development of investment, operation and maintenance, asset management, commercial and financial management programs, in order to increase the network coverage rate and improve operational standards.

The technical assistance involved the following tasks: (i) construction and rehabilitation of the water distribution systems in the cities of Baucau and Aileu; (ii) preparation of the Timor-Leste Sanitation Master Plan; (Iii) and preparation of the Timor-Leste Solid Waste Master Plan.

Concession of the water supply and sanitation systems – Brazil
Management of the of water supply and sanitation concession contract in the urban areas of Búzios, Cabo Frio, Iguaba Grande, Arraial do Cabo and São Pedro de Aldeia municipalities for a 25 years period. Apart from the management of water and sanitation services, the contract foresaw the implementation of an investment plan for the expansion of the drainage network and the construction of wastewater treatment plants.

Management Contract of the Water Supply Services in 4 cities of Mozambique
Management of the water supply services to a population of over 400,000 inhabitants in 4 cities of Mozambique: Nampula, Beira, Pemba and Quelimane. The management contract allowed: (i) increase the water production capacity and expansion of the service coverage; (ii) improve the quality of water produced and distributed, the pressure on the network and increase the number of daily distribution hours; (iii) organize and capacitate the human resources of the 4 companies; (iv) develop and implement an investment plan.

In the second phase, master plans and feasibility studies for each of the islands will be developed, together with proposals to regulate the sector.

Project to Improve the Access to Basic Social Services in Flores Island, Indonesia
Functional assessment of the water supply infrastructures in the villages of Titehena, Demon Pagong and Tanjunbunga the sub-districts in Flores Island, Indonesia. Preparation of the investment plan and supervision of rehabilitation works in the water distribution networks, reservoirs, standpipes and domestic connections to the basic social services. An operation and maintenance capacity building program was implemented to ensure the sustainability of water supply systems after the completion of the project.

Twinning Partnership Program between the State Amelioration and SAWMC and AdP International
The twinning partnership program aimed to promote know-how transfer between the State Amelioration and Water Management Committee (SAWMC) and AdP International in the operation and maintenance and asset management areas. Methodologies for the implementation of operation and maintenance and asset management plans have been proposed, to enable SAWMC to become a more sustainable management entity with regard to its water supply and sanitation services.

As part of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) pilot project, under its Water Development Regional Strategic Program, a "road map" for the first three years of physical establishment of the Water Supply and Sanitation Supply Wastewater Cunene (EASC) was prepared, focusing in the administration and finance, commercial and human resources areas.
