100 Cities” Program: Portugal was present on a mission in India
Since September 30th, the
Águas de Portugal Group has been actively participating in a mission to India,
represented by Andrew Donnelly, director of AdP Internacional, at the
invitation of the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
The mission is part of the “100 Cities Program,” which aims to develop projects
and services related to water supply, sewage treatment, treated water reuse,
and solid waste management in one hundred major Indian cities. During the
mission, discussions were held on the challenges and solutions for these
topics, followed by technical visits to wastewater treatment and solid waste
facilities in the city of Bhopal. The mission now moves to Delhi, where a
government workshop will be held, during which examples of best practices from
the Águas de Portugal Group will be presented.
